David L. Peterson, 54, of Burlington, died at 5:08 AM Sunday, June 14, 2009, at his home.

Born February 13, 1955, in Burlington, he was the son of Howard Leroy and Charlotte Elizabeth Frenzer Peterson. On February 24, 1973, he married Melody Sue Timmerman in Burlington.

David was a life long drummer and loved to fish. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Melody of Burlington; his mother, Charlotte Peterson of Burlington; two daughters, Heather (James) Miller and Kearston Peterson both of Burlington; two sons, Tharin (Daniell) Peterson of Wapello and Braden Peterson of Burlington; five grandchildren, Samantha Ballard, Clayton Miller, Gage and Allee Peterson and Zuriel Garrett, three brothers, Tom Peterson of Burlington, Tim Peterson of Wisconsin and Steve Peterson of Nevada; one sister, Patty Kupniewski of Texas and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Sandy.

As per the request of Mr. Peterson, cremation has been accorded. There will be no visitation.
The Celebration of Life for Mr. Peterson will be from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Springlake Community Room.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established and can be mailed to Melody Peterson 3939 Springlake Rd. #6, Burlington, IA 52601.
