Becky Strause, 44, of Burlington, died at 7:40 PM Sunday, January 24, 2010, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born May 9, 1965, in Muscatine, IA, she was the daughter of Larry R. and Patricia J. Hill George.
|
Becky was a baker for Hy-Vee on 9th and Angular and a mixer operator at U.S. Gypsum.
She was a graduate of Muscatine High School and Muscatine Community College.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing the slot machines, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include two sons, Jacob (Christina) Strause of Burlington, and Billy Strause of Fort Madison; her parents, Larry and Patricia George of Muscatine; three grandchildren, Grace, Elizabeth, and Xavier; one brother, Larry (Stacey) George, Jr. of Davenport, IA; two sisters, Debbie (David Harvey) Pace of Grandview, IA, and Sharon (William) Grise of Davenport, IA; several nieces and nephews; her boyfriend, Jason Walker of Mediapolis, IA, and his children, Cade, Mallorie, Ethan, and Riley.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and two sisters, Doris George and Carol George.

As per Becky's request, cremation has been accorded.
Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Hass-Thielen Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established.
