Beverly Ann Ertz, 81, of Burlington, died at 2:10 PM Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born April 26, 1928, in Estherville, IA, she was the daughter of Trygve Edward and Clara Sophie Handeland Beian. On July 8, 1954, she married Louis James Ertz in Ft. Madison, IA. He died May 26, 1984.

Beverly was a packager for 15 years at Midwest Biscuit Company.
She was a 1946 graduate of Burlington High School
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the Animal Protection League.

Survivors include one sister, Evelyn (Ellsworth) Adrian of Burlington; one brother, Robert (Norma) Beian of Sun City, AZ, several nieces and nephews including, Barbara Adrian of Burlington; and great nieces and nephews including, Brandon Limkemann of Burlington.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Carol Jeanne Huggins, one niece and one nephew.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Hass-Thielen Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service for Mrs. Ertz will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at the Hass-Thielen Funeral Home with Reverend Susanne Smith officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Animal Protection League.
