Mary Ann Elizabeth Johnson, 81, of Burlington, died at 6:00 AM Sunday, June 13, 2010, at the Burlington Care Center.

Born November 10, 1928, in Wever, IA she was the daughter of Raymond Charles and Constance Velma Marsh Southerland. On July 21, 1950, she married Raymond G. Johnson in Prairie Grove, IA.

Mary Ann was a factory worker.
She was an avid reader and liked to listen to country music and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include husband, Ray; one daughter, Suzanne (Joseph) Bukowski of Crystal Lake, IL; one son, Sheldon (Kathie) Johnson of Kellogg; two grandchildren Lisa (Robert) Cole and Thomas Bukowski; one brother, Francis "LeRoy" (Edith) Southerland of West Burlington; two sisters, Rosie York and Helen Reynolds both of Burlington; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Margaret Juarez, Dorothy Touch, and June Southerland in infancy, and one brother Charles Southerland.

As per the request of Mrs. Johnson, cremation has been accorded.
The Memorial Service for Mrs. Johnson will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the Hass-Thielen Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Weissenbuehler officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established to Burlington Care Center and the Great River Hospice.
